Summit, Feature Film
Summit finally had its World Premiere & a successful festival run, including winning Best Horror Film at the Manhattan Film Festival & Christina winning Best Director at the Rhode Island International Film Festival's Vortex Fest. The film screens one more time next year at the Macabre Faire Film Festival, before hitting online platforms in late January.
Five college friends hit the road for a ski trip. When they end up at the wrong location and can't backtrack because of the intense cold and secluded surroundings, they decide to take shelter in an abandoned house overnight. But when they wake in the morning, things are not quite what they seemed and it's too late to turn back. Official Full-Length Trailer to follow in a few months. Shot in January 2013. Beginning the festival submission period in Fall 2014. Updated website coming soon. Kelsey, The Webseries
We assumed our hit web series "Kelsey" was finished gaining an audience after its viral run in 2013 & 2014. But the LGBTQ Web Series Panel Tour 'In With the New Out' gave us a festival run and broadened the reach of the series, most notably at this year's Outfest.
Promo trailer for our web series "Kelsey" Premiered on Blip.tv on September 10th! Has over 150,000 views & made the list of the 19 Best Comedy Web Series of 2013 on Indiewire! We Shot a Pilot!
We decided to spin our audience demand for more LGBTQ comedy into a new pilot, "Two Gays & a Girl." We're still in post-production for it. But the 23 minute piece will be done in the Spring, and hopefully attract some funding our way for a full series and maybe even the feature we've been planning.
Short Films
A busy year for shorts. We finally premiered "Juice it" online.
A young couple attempt a 7 day juice cleanse but quickly realize it's much more difficult than they anticipated as they pass the first 24 hours. They desperately try not to eat food by supporting and antagonizing each other. Soon it becomes a game of tug and war. Will they stay on the cleanse or give in to food's savory temptation? (Shot in 2013 on less than $500 thanks to the time & talent of many of our favorite people.) Festivals: *2014 Coney Island Film Festival *2014 FirstGlance Film Festival's Shorts' Contest 3rd Place (out of 16) *2015 HollyShorts Screening Series *2015 Queens World Film Festival *2015 DAMN Film Series More info: http://www.congestedcat.com/blog/2015/5/16/juice-it-online-premiere

IndieWorks, Monthly Film Series
We started our 3rd Year at IndieWorks, and each month almost doubled in size compared to our first year! We've truly grown the series into a recognizable & supportive community, thanks to your help; and we believe our Year 3 Best of Fest will be the best yet! We can't wait for you to join us for that and the start of Year 4!
Check out the monthly Recaps from this year, including last month's screening.
And be sure to join us on January 6th for the last time at the People Lounge for our farewell party to say thank you & goodbye to the space that has been our home for 3 years. We move to a new venue in February. (Want to help our search? More details.)
