For the last four years, Matt Gershowitz has been working in many different aspects of the film industry, taking interest in the film making process in its entirety. He began his career in early 2009 working with Cinematographer Cliff Charles at his company, The People’s DP. It was here he was first given the opportunity to try his hand at many different facets of the production process, along with given the chance to work with celebrities, such as Alanis Morrisette and Kerry Washington, who, for the record, has hugged him. It was also with the People’s DP, that Matt discovered an affiliation for post production, which then lead him to a short stint at Radical Media working on the MTV documentary Drake: Better than Good Enough. It was at Radical Media that he really sharpened his skills in a professional setting, along with gaining the knowledge of what it means to work in the cable television post production world. Since Radical Media, Matt has worked on a number of projects, including some work with the MLB Fancave, a few music videos and a web series.

In 2011, Matt met Christina at Hunter College, where he helped complete post-production on her first short film, "Do Over." They have collaborated on a multitude of projects, where he has had the opportunity to work as an editor, assistant director, gaffer, foley artist, and even some on camera work. Most recently, he was the Assistant Director for CongestedCat’s first feature film, Summit, an experience that has truly affirmed his love of film making. For the future, he hopes to further pursue the path as an AD, find even more great people to work with, and continue being a part of productions to be proud of.
